What's included in each charter option?

Fishing Charter:
Bait, tackle, rods and reels, fishing license, fishing on the Folly, Charleston, Stono or Kiawah Rivers, drinking water, catch and release or take home your fish.
 
Sunset Cruise:
Tour the Folly, Charleston, Stono and Kiawah Rivers at sunset, drinking water, prime views of Charleston at sunset.
 
Dolphin Tour:
Best spots to view dolphins, views of the Folly, Charleston, Stono and Kiawah Rivers, drinking water, frequent stops for photo opportunities.
 
Shark Tooth Adventure:
Tour the Folly, Charleston, Stono and Kiawah Rivers, drinking water, frequent stops on the best island beaches for shark teeth hunting.

Question 2

What should we bring on our charter?

Accepted Answer

In South Carolina, sunscreen is a must during all weather. Creams seem to work better than the spray type. Bring what you plan to eat and drink (no glass bottles). Captain will supply ice and water. Staying hydrated is crucial in the southern heat. A hat with a bill and a pair of polarized sunglasses will cut the glare on the water and may help you catch more fish. Wear non-marking shoes. If you plan on keeping fish be sure you bring a cooler to transport them home, please leave it in your vehicle until the charter is complete. You do not need to bring a fishing license.​

Question 4

Do you accomodate most groups?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Captain Brian Hawkins is flexible with accomodating up to 6 people on his charters while simoultaneously prioritizing experience and safety.

Question 5

What should we bring on our Charter?

Accepted Answer

Food, dress for the weather, wear layers, non aerosol sunscreen, sunglasses. Bottled water will be provided. 
 
If you are fishing and would like to take home your fish rather than catch and release please bring a cooler that is large enough to fit ice and any potential fish you might catch. Fill the cooler with ice before you arrive and leave it in your car. We will pack your cooler at the end of your charter.
 
If you are going shark tooth hunting you may want to bring something to collect your shark teeth in.

Question 6

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Accepted Answer

If you need to cancel you can receive a full refund of your down payment if you cancel at least 5 days in advance of your charter date. Unfortunately if you do not cancel at least 5 days in advance your down payment is non-refundable. 
 
If you need to reschedule your charter date please call Captain Brian Hawkins at 843-513-5249 and Brian will do his best to accomodate your needs although a rescheduled date cannot be guaranteed.

Where will we go while out on the water?

Hawkins Fishing Charters explore the Folly Beach, Charleston and Kiawah rivers. In regards to fishing based off of your preferences the captain can take you inshore, nearshore or offshore fishing.

Question 8

Do we need to supply our own water and food?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Hydration and food are two of the most important parts of your charter experience. Bottled water will be provided however please pack a substantial meal and/or snacks depending on the length of your charter. This will guarantee you have a better overall experience out on the water.
